Prof. Niels Henrik Gregersen to visit MHS

The Danish professor in Systematic Theology, Niels Henrik Gregersen, University of Copenhagen, will visit MHS on March 8-9, participating at a seminar for PhD students.

Niels Henrik Gregersen is professor in Systematic Theology at the University of Copenhagen. He is a renowned and widely respected theologian who has large list of publications. See here.

He presents his own interests of research as focusing on two research areas: (1) How to develop a contemporary Christian theology in the context of secularized and multi-religious Western societies. Within systematic theology, I specializes in the theology of creation, but has written on most areas of Christian ideas and doctrine. (2) How to bring about a mutual interaction between science and religion that also allows religious reflection to be an active player. Within the field of science & religion, I specializes in the philosophy of evolutionary biology and the sciences of complexity.

His lecture at MHS will be on "Theology between Naturalism and Social Constructionism.

The studies at MHS have been very useful. In my present job at the Police office in Stavanger I daily meet people from different parts of the world. I took both a bachelor and a master degree at MHS. I feel that my background has helped me a lot in my job in the Police.
