The bachelor programme of three years offers courses in theology, Christian religious education, history of religion, and intercultural communication. It is designed to prepare for ministry in church and society in Norway and in developing countries, especially in multicultural contexts. Medium of instruction is Norwegian.
Applicants must fulfil the requirements for immatriculation into universities, i.e. be graduated from Norwegian "videregående skole" or equivalent.
Religious knowledge - basic course - 60 credits is one course within in the BRIC.
The programme can be studied either as a separate unit or as part of some other university degree program. At Norwegian universities and university colleges the programme is recognized as a 60 credit unit.
The one year programme covers the first year of the B.Th. programme, and the disciplines are the same as in the elementary part of the theology programme.
Missionary preparatory course, 20 credits is one course within in the BRIC.
This programme is offered every Spring and is projected to meet the needs for theoretical and practical training of persons who have already been accepted for service abroad by The Norwegian Missionary Society or some other organisation or church. Medium of instruction is Norwegian.
The course normally includes students of different professions with health personnel and teachers of different kinds as the major groups.
Intercultural studies and globalization, 60 credits is one course within the BRIC.
This programme include a one month study at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
