Tirsdag 16. februar var kulturminister Anniken Huitfeldt på besøk i Stavanger for å få et bredt inntrykk av kulturlivet her i regionen. Misjonsarkivet var blant de mange kulturinstitusjonene i Rogaland som var invitert til en samling på Rogaland Teater fra kl. 1100-1300.

Misjonsarkivet har fått forespørsel om opplysninger om en modell av seilskuten Elieser. Modellen kan være laget av Askil Colbensen Mjelde (1828-1916), som seilte som skipstømmermann på Elieser i 1870-årene. Spørsmålet er om vi kan spore opp hvor modellen befinner seg.

In September 2009 the Mission Archive launched a new feature. In a frame of 70x100 cm, placed at a central location in the campus center building, the "Document of the month" will display selected items from our collections.

In October 2009 four representatives from Hunan, China, visited the Norwegian Mission Society and the School of Mission and Theology. A tour of the Mission Archives was also a part of the program.

Med velvillig tillatelse fra Rogaland avdeling av Foreningen til norske Fortidsminnesmerkers Bevaring har Misjonsarkivet fått anledning til å publisere en PDF-versjon av medlemsbladet "Verd å verne", 8. årgang, nr. 2, 1992. Her var fokus på Stavanger som misjonsby, og anledningen var 150-års jubileet til Det norske misjonsselskap.
