UNESCO Memory of the World: the protocol from the founding of the Norwegian Mission Society in 1842

The Arts Council Norway is the secretariat for the Norwegian committee for UNESCO Memory of the World. In 2014 the protocol containing the minutes from the founding of Norwegian Mission Society (NMS) in 1842 was nominated and included in "Norges dokumentarv", i.e. the Norwegian Memory of the World register.

The protocol is entitled "Forhandlingsprotokol for Det Norske Missionsselskabs Generalforsamlinger 1842-64".

The first twelve pages contain the minutes from the founding of NMS during two days in August 1842. The subsequent pages contain minutes from General Assemblies of NMS until 1864. The location and year of these assemblies are found in our presentation of NMS timeline.
