The Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) - US-based, but with a growing number of African members - has launched the International Cooperation Initiative (ICI), to foster biblical scholarship and to facilitate mutual cooperation among colleagues. Amongst the services provided by ICI are open-access book series and mentoring programs.
